Club Pengun Rules + Banning Policy


If you fail to comply with the Club Penguin rules, Club Penguin will ban you for ‘x’ amount of time based on your history and ‘offence’. For reclamation purposes, listed below is Club Penguin’s list of rules:

Act Nicely
Respect Others
No bullying or being mean to others. Make sure you always treat others the way you would like to be treated.
Chat Nicely
Chat Nicely
No rude or inappropriate language. This includes any swearing, racism, talking about drugs, sex, or alcohol.
Stay Safe
Stay Safe Online
No sharing of personal information. Never give out your real name, phone number, address, email, or password online. Don’t direct another player to other websites.
Play Fair
No cheating or use of third party programs. If you’re unsure whether a site or program is athird party program, please read the article What is a third-party program, and why shouldn’t I use one?

If I ever get banned, for how long will my penguin be banned for?

If it’s your 1st ban = you will be warned…

If it’s your 2nd ban 24 hours

If it’s your 3rd ban = 24 hours

If it’s your 4th ban = 24 hours

If it’s your 5th ban = you will be banned forever. This means that you will never be able to log onto Club Penguin again, with that account.

NOTE: Due to particular reasons, your penguin may get banned for over 24 hours. For instance, 72 hours instead of 24.

Below are the reasons for getting banned:

Reason 1: 3rd Party Cheating (ex: Money Maker, Penguin Storm (OLD), Item Adder, etc)

Reason 2: Sexual talk (Don’t relate anything back to sexual talk as well)

Reason 3: Cussing or swearing (all words and even gestures)

Reason 4: If you are rude or mean to a penguin (bullying, calling them lame, etc)

Reason 5: Lying (always be honest)

Reason 6: If one is blocking doors or items (stopping you from entering/ obtaining a place or an item around the island of Club Penguin)

How to deal with a penguin using inappropriate behaviour: 

If you ever see a penguin doing any of the things listed above, be sure to report him/ her to the Club Penguin team. All you have to do to report them is open up their Club Penguin playercard, and press on the ‘Report’ button. Once you have selected the reason (what he/she is doing wrong) submit it to the team. Club Penguin moderators will then look at the history of that penguin – and possibly ban him/her depending on the circumstance(s).

I really hope cp does not allow people to report others for doing things that the game allows you to do (follow others and snowball fight) example….my son was logged on as Speedy fish today and someone said they are going to report him….I watched the game the whole time and he did “NOTHING” (threw snowballs) what about them reports????? If someone just wanted to be smart they could report you five times and your banned forever is this really fair? I don’t think so…..just sayin! How about an Honest TYPO is it really necessary to ban someone for an honest mistake which everyone makes in life? This seems tooooo easy to oust anyone you like…..I really hope the monitors are monitoring the real problem people here. Cheers!

  11. Thank you for your comment. The reporting system is just to ensure that the Club Penguin island stays safe and clean for your child(s). If a penguin is reported on a random reason, for doing nothing (like your son’s current situation), the server moderators will review the problem, therefore declaring whether your son’s penguin should be banned or not. If the penguin has done nothing wrong, he or she should not get banned for any reason at all. Although, if your penguin is banned for any reason (for something in which you haven’t done), do notify Club Penguin by either contacting them by email (support(at)clubpenguin(dot)com) or by phone.   18. I emailed just now because my daughter got banned for no reason and we PAID for membership. SHE is in tears, and I’m not pleased at all. How long before they respond? I’m thinking money back and no more club penguin if it will mess with my wallet and my kids emotions. What’s the number to contact by phone. NOT happy.

  19. Unfortunately things like that happen, where parents purchase their children memberships and then the children get banned. Do you know why your daughter got banned in the first place? Because Club Penguin can still ban member penguins – and I know that for a fact – if the situation is serious (ex: cussing, bullying, etc).   41. I have found a hacker and I have proof but I don’t know club penguins email so I can’t send any proof showing why the hacker can be banned. I know they won’t give the email out to just anyone but if I can get it I could find hackers easily and help get rid of them. If someone tells me the email I can help the creators a lot. I have proof showing his old items plus he also has no membership whatsoever meaning he could be a hacker, I doubt that he got the items legit as he never had a membership sign on his player card.     Good thing my parents emailed CP and I got unbanned 😛

  78. Heyo! You get banned if you swear! For example, you’d get banned if you say firetruck without iretr. It is probably safer to not hack (for example, a money maker). Whenever I log on to a free user, he or she has a ban that is never ending! They’re pranksters!

  96. Did you have a Flippr account? If so, that’s probably why. Recently the game was hacked and shut down, and the hackers dumped all the data for everyone to see, including account passwords. If you used the same password for both Flippr and CP, they probably used that to hack your account. After you’re unbanned, I’d recommend changing your password either way.

  99. The same thing happened to me where I meant to spell sec and instead I accidentally pressed the key next to c. I got a warning for this and I’m pretty upset, I never have used any curse words in the years I have played CP and just this once where I made a horrible typo I get my first “Ban”. If anything I wish they would have a refresh for bans once the year is over, so us CP users who make typos can have a fresh start on a new year.

  116. Well, your best bet would be to contact Club Penguin somehow. Either by calling them or sending them an email, tell them how you’re sorry for what you did and that it was a while ago. There’s a chance they’ll understand and unban your penguin.
